Innovating and building capabilities for a shared digital future
Highlights from GovTech Singapore’s FY2025/2026 Annual Report

Over the past year, we made significant strides in strengthening Singapore’s digital government. We turned ground-up ideas into real solutions, helped agencies modernise, and came together across Government to deliver nationwide initiatives.
Our FY2025/26 Annual Report, themed “Innovating and building capabilities for a shared digital future”, captures the highlights, collaborations, and impact that shaped our year.

Innovation needs more than just good ideas. It requires opportunities for experimentation, tools for prototyping, and structured pathways that help turn promising ideas into real-world solutions.
Igniting the sparks of innovation

Creating pathways from ideas to impact
Through structured initiatives like GovTech Innovation Day and {build} hackathon, officers have opportunities to identify problems, experiment with ideas, and develop promising concepts into real-world solutions.

Empowering more officers to innovate with AI
We are lowering the barriers to innovation by giving officers the tools, knowledge, and guardrails to experiment, prototype, and build with confidence. From Rabbit Deploy and PlatformAI to handbooks and governance frameworks, we are making innovation more accessible and responsible.

Innovation starts from within
We encourage GovTechies to challenge processes, experiment with new approaches, and turn everyday problems into opportunities for improvement. AppraisAI is one example of this mindset in action, using AI to optimise a routine internal process and create better employee experience.

Digital transformation is not just about introducing new technology. It is about building platforms, partnerships, skills, and capabilities that help agencies modernise and deliver services more effectively.
Building our capabilities, together

Modernising Government with shared platforms
We help agencies modernise by providing shared, reusable platforms they can adopt and build on. Platforms such as ApplySG, Optical, and Opus enable agencies to modernise without having to start from scratch.

Growing capabilities and communities
We bring together public officers, practitioners, and partners to build skills and learn from one another. Initiatives such as Prompt Royale, STACKx, and Industry Engagement strengthen communities across Government and industry, while international exchanges deepen global collaboration.

Strengthening capability from within
We continuously strengthen our own people, systems, and ways of working as building capability starts from within. From improving internal productivity through Equip to developing new capabilities in AI-enabled cybersecurity, these efforts strengthen our ability to support agencies as they modernise and transform.

Ultimately, we innovate and build capabilities so that we can deliver more seamless, accessible, and secure services to citizens. Across major national initiatives and everyday services, we help citizens access services more easily, transact more conveniently, and navigate the digital world more safely.
Shaping a shared digital future

Delivering national impact through OneGovTech
We bring together teams, products, and partners across Government to deliver major national initiatives as one connected experience for citizens. From SG Culture Pass and General Election 2025 to Walking Trails @ CDC, the OneGovTech approach allows different capabilities to work together behind the scenes at national scale.

Protecting citizens in a digital world
As more everyday services move online, we are strengthening protection against scams, fraud, and other emerging harms. Initiatives such as Singpass Trust & Safety, Classify, and analytics on SIM registration data help track down suspicious activity earlier and enable more timely intervention.

Making Government services easier to access
We design digital services around the needs of the citizens and businesses using them, reducing unnecessary steps and making information easier to access. From LifeSG Credits to MySkillsFuture, these improvements make everyday interactions with Government simpler and more convenient.
A year of progress and impact
From igniting innovation, to building capabilities across Government, to delivering better experiences for citizens, our progress is made possible by the people and partnerships behind the work.
