Any Singapore business filing corporate income tax, GST, or S45 Withholding Tax must authenticate through Corppass to access IRAS services on myTax Portal. This covers Form C-S and Form C corporate income tax returns, GST returns, employer CPF submissions, and employment income records.

When assigning IRAS access, Admins choose between two service-level roles. A Preparer can prepare and queue forms for review. An Approver can review and submit directly to IRAS. For companies working with external tax agents, both roles can be assigned to the agent firm, allowing the agent's staff to handle end-to-end filing without the company sharing its login credentials.

Grants, employment, and regulatory services

Corppass is used for more than 250 government digital services, and for a typical SME that means it spans the full administrative lifecycle: applying for business grants on the Business Grants Portal, filing annual returns with ACRA, managing employment passes and work permits through MOM, and handling customs declarations through Singapore Customs.

The Admin role and how access is assigned

Company directors register as Corppass Admins and assign specific tax, grant, and regulatory services to employees with role-based permissions. The Registered Officer (RO), typically a director, owner, or corporate secretary registered with ACRA, approves the appointment of a Corppass Admin. Each entity can have a maximum of two Admins. Once the Admin account is active, the Admin creates individual 

Corppass User accounts for staff and assigns each account access only to the services that person actually needs.

The Corppass Admin role allows companies to create, modify, and revoke access in real time, giving SMEs full visibility and control over their digital service authorisations. If an employee changes role or leaves, access can be removed immediately without contacting individual agencies. One Admin, one platform, full control across all government services.

Authourising third-party agents

For SMEs that outsource tax filings or corporate secretarial work, Corppass enables businesses to authorise third-party agents without sharing login credentials. The company's Admin grants the agent firm access to the relevant services, specifying Preparer or Approver rights for IRAS where applicable. The agent's staff then access the company's portal through their own Corppass credentials, keeping the company's accounts secure while giving the agent everything they need to file on the company's behalf.

How to apply for Corppass for your company in Singapore

The registration process is straightforward once you know which role you are applying for and what information you need to have ready.

Eligibility requirements

Corppass is available to Singapore-registered entities with a Unique Entity Number (UEN) as well as foreign-registered entities. Local entities without a UEN can continue using Singpass as their login method for government services. The UEN-holding entity's Registered Officer initiates the process, either by registering as the Corppass Admin themselves or by appointing someone else to the role.

Step-by-step registration

1. Visit corppass.gov.sg and click "Register as a Corppass Admin"

2. Log in with Singpass to verify your identity

3. Enter your entity's UEN to link the account to your company

4. Submit a Letter of Authorisation (LOA) signed by the Registered Officer, if you are not the RO yourself

5. Wait for RO approval, completed online. Allow up to five working days for processing

6. Once approved, create Corppass User accounts for employees and assign the relevant digital services to each account

The setup can typically be completed within a day when all information is ready, including the company UEN and the Registered Officer's Singpass.
