Over the past decade, GovTech has helped build the digital foundations that power many of the services Singaporeans use today. As we look ahead, the next chapter is not simply about adopting new technologies. It is about strengthening the foundations that make digital government possible. This includes modernising core systems, building trusted platforms, empowering agencies with stronger digital capabilities, and ensuring that technology remains grounded in the needs of the people we serve.
Deepening Capabilities in Government
Over the past decade, GovTech has built a growing ecosystem of shared platforms, products, and digital capabilities to support government agencies. The next phase is about deepening these capabilities across government by bringing stronger product, design, and engineering expertise closer to agencies, while making it easier for them to tap on interoperable platforms and reusable building blocks.
One of the advantages of a strong digital ecosystem is the ability to reuse, integrate, and build upon existing capabilities rather than starting from scratch each time.

The Power of One with SG Culture Pass
SG Culture Pass demonstrates how GovTech's shared products and platforms can come together to support large-scale national initiatives. By bringing together more than 10 GovTech products and capabilities, agencies were able to deliver a nationwide campaign serving millions of Singaporeans in just 11 months, demonstrating how shared platforms and interoperable products can accelerate service delivery at scale.
Harnessing AI for Innovation and Productivity
AI is creating new opportunities for public officers to work more productively, solve problems in new ways, and deliver better outcomes for citizens and businesses. As AI becomes more accessible, GovTech is focused on helping public officers use it safely, responsibly, and meaningfully. This means empowering teams to experiment, solve day-to-day challenges, and build solutions that create real value for citizens and businesses.

Desk is a new platform being developed to help public officers safely use AI assistants and agents in their daily work. By providing a trusted environment for AI adoption across government, it enables teams to harness the benefits of AI while maintaining security, accountability, and trust.
Alongside Desk, GovTech is helping public officers build confidence and capability in using AI through initiatives such as the annual {build} hackathon. By lowering barriers to experimentation and prototyping, the hackathon enables officers from both tech and non-tech backgrounds to turn ideas into working solutions that address real-world challenges and improve public service delivery.
The Journey to Build a Digital Government Continues
The next decade of digital government will not be defined by emerging technologies alone. It will be shaped by how we build strong foundations, empower people with new capabilities, and stay grounded in the needs of those we serve.
