Our GovTech logo evolution

Over the past decade, our work at GovTech has been to harness technology systematically and at scale - serving every citizen, supporting every business, and strengthening every community. 

To mark #10YearsOfGovTech, we unveiled a refreshed logo to better represent where we are in our journey, as well as our commitment to continue innovating, collaborating, and delivering meaningful impact in the years ahead. Let’s take a closer look at how our logo has evolved over time, what it represents today, and in the years to come. 

Laying our foundations

Singapore’s ambition to remain a leading global city and the call for a new way of thinking led to the beginning of GovTech’s journey in late 2016. Tasked with advancing the Smart Nation initiative, we set out with a clear purpose: to turn ambition into action by building transformative digital solutions and delivering public services that are faster, more seamless and trusted.

Our early GovTech logo was designed to reflect this purpose. Experimentation and innovation defined our early years - with the pulsing dots representing individual building blocks working together in harmony. The dynamic movement of our logo reflected our agility in navigating new challenges and embracing each new chapter. At the same time, their interconnections highlighted that our journey could not be undertaken in isolation, but only through close partnership with citizens, businesses, and communities.

Powering an integrated digital government 

As Singapore’s digital landscape matured over the years, our work evolved from isolated solutions into connected platforms that enable transformation at scale. Alongside this shift, our logo transformed from dots into lines - reflecting growth, connection, and clear pathways to digital excellence.  

The bold, interconnected lines symbolise how individual digital building blocks come together to form a unified and resilient infrastructure. Each product and platform strengthens this network, powering collaboration, innovation, and progress across government technology. Today, every product that carries the GovTech name embodies a promise of reliability, innovation, and public good.  

Our visual identity may have evolved, but our mission stays the same: To engineer a digital government and build technology for public good.
